Funeral services for Faye Creech Kauth, 83 of the Galloway Community of Panola County, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mervin Scott and Reverend Joe Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mrs. Kauth died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at her home in Galloway.
Mrs. Kauth was born in the Galloway Community of Panola County. She was the ninth of ten children born to the marriage of Sam and Pheby McNeese Creech. She was raised in Galloway attending the United Methodist Church and rural schools there, later graduating from Logansport High School. She married Edward Herman Kauth July 16, 1953, and together they raised a daughter in a loving Christian home and remained devoted until his death in September of 1993. Mrs. Kauth worked over 20 years for the Bell Telephone Company. Although failing health confined her to her home for many years, her family never lost her support and guidance as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents; brothers: Dan, Quinton, Exey and Tritus Creech and an infant boy; sisters: Mertis Smith, Zona Boyd, Eunice McMellon and Urcela Creech.
Her survivors include loving daughter Ginger Adams and husband John Derek, of Galloway; grandchildren Derek, Josh and Sami Faye, all of the Galloway Community; numerous nieces and nephews; lifelong devoted niece: Shirley Hamilton, of Logan Community.
Her pallbearers will include Wade Creech, Terry Creech, Sammy Creech, William Gatewood, Shane Mosley and David Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will include Eddie McMellon, Preston Hickman and John Doyle Adams.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Hawthorn Funeral Home.
