Mr. Edward Lee Creech, Sr. of Coffee Springs, Alabama passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011. He was 81.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva. Burial followed in the Piney Grove Assembly of God cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
Mr. Creech was born April 20, 1930, in Geneva County, AL to the late Bertey D. and Willie Voncil Simmons Creech. He was a retired truck driver having worked with Sessions Peanut Co. for a number of years. He enjoyed attending the local races and watching Alabama football. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his parents, two granddaughters, Shelly Waters Murtha, Marsha Bucklew, a great-granddaughter, Harmony Jade Creech, as well as two brothers, James D. Creech and Charles Creech, all preceded him in death.
