LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel for Annie Mae Credeur, 89, the former Annie Mae Begnaud, who passed away at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro.The Rev. William Gearheard, pastor of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Credeur was a native of Carencro and a resident of Lafayette for over 35 years. She was a parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette. She was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion Auxiliary, the Woodman of the World and the Greenhouse in Lafayette. Ms. Credeur was also a member of the Golden Age Club and was crowned Queen of Golden Age in 1987. She was a retired cook and homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Gail Hebert, of Breaux Bridge; two step-daughters, Barbara Gresham and her husband, William, of Alabama, and Tammy Credeur, of Lafayette; two brothers, Noic' "Pete" Begnaud and his wife, Cecile, of Lafayette, and Irby Begnaud and his wife, Anna, of Carencro; one sister, Anna Guilbeaux, of Carencro; two grandchildren, Randy Hebert and his wife, Robin and Rusty Hebert, all of BreauxBridge; two great-grandchildren, Brody Hebert and Raegan Hebert; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zepherin Begnaud and the former Josephine Lanerie, both natives of Carencro; her first husband, Clarence Hebert; her late husband, Chester Credeur; one son, Curtis "Cabri" Hebert; and four brothers, Alton Begnaud, Bobby Begnaud, Stanley Begnaud and Benoit Begnaud.
Pallbearers will be Irby Begnaud, Stanley Begnaud Jr., Nolan Benoit, Noic' "Pete" Begnaud, Randy Hebert and Rusty Hebert.
Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
