Former Eaton resident Nellie Cox, 90, died Saturday in Community Care Center, Muncie, Mrs. Cox, who was born in Knoxville, Tenn., lived in the Eaton area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of First Apostolic Church.
Survivors include five sons, Robert Cox (wife-Laura), Dunkirk, Rex Cox (wife-Karen) and Donald Cox, both of Muncie, John Cox (wife-Mary), Eaton, and Paul Cox (wife-Linda), Hartford City; four daughters, Verna Lindley (husband-Howard) and Lucille Manor (husband-Gerald), both of Muncie, and Wilma Sluder (husband-Les) and Shirley Penrod (husband-Roger), both of Plymouth; 42 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Leonard Cox, is deceased. Two sons, Kenny and James Cox, and two daughters, Ruth Proctor and Margaret Parks, are also deceased.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Pitman-Richman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Calling will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. until services Tuesday at the funeral home.
