Juanita Crawford Carter, 90, of Stuttgart, died Friday, September 2, 2011, at her daughter's home in Apache Junction, Arizona.
She was born July 11, 1921, in Arkansas to Robert Shumate and Vivian Glover Shumate.
She was a founding member of the Pentecostal Church of Humnoke, Arkansas, and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Woodrow Crawford; her second husband, Robert Carter; daughter; Vivian Greene; two sons, Linley Crawford and Woodrow D. Crawford; one brother; four sisters; and two grandchildren.
Survivors are son, James Crawford of Ringgold, Georgia; two daughters, Gail Goddard and husband Danny of Apache Junction and Loyce Kibler and husband Darrell of Springfield, Tennessee; four brothers, Gerald Shumate of Morrilton, Arkansas, and Bill Shumate, Don Shumate and J.T. Shumate, all of Little Rock; one sister, Lucille Joslin of Morrilton; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grand-children; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial in Flynn Cemetery.
