She was one of those women who did a lot of good in her life. A quietly useful member of her community, at her service Dr. Achor "told of how Mrs. Alldredge had for years looked after the underprivileged and assisted those in need and declared that 'the passing of Bessie Alldredge will leave a void in Oregon City that will be difficult to fill'".
"A color guard from the Meade Post (#2, G.A.R.), the Women's Relief Corp (#18), officiated at the funeral services and the final services at Mountain View cemetery." She passed away following a two month's illness at the long time family home at 1602 16th St. in the Buena Vista district of Oregon City.
In addition to being a member of the First Presbyterian church, she also belonged to the Neighbors of Woodcraft, Willamette Rebekah lodge, Mt. Pleasant Booster club, Warner grange, the Women's Relief Corp #18, the Buena Vista Art and Needlecraft and Civic clubs. She was affiliated with the local G.A.R. post, Meade #2.
Bessie came to Oregon from Kansas in 1901. She was Frank's second wife, after Charlotte "Lottie" Bell MYERS. Lottie and Frank divorced after the death of their son Frankie. Lottie later married Daniel DILLMAN of Oregon City, OR.

1) Stepdaughter to Bessie: Eva Alldredge OLSON, b. 12 May 1893, d. 27 Dec 1974 in Salem, Marion Co., OR. Eva was also buried at Mountain View.
Husband: James Olson.
2) Stepson to Bessie: Thomas Jennings ALLDREDGE, b. 1 Oct 1894, d. 23 Oct 1943 in Deer Lodge, Powell Co., MT. Tom served in WW II. He is also buried here at Mountain View cemetery.
3) Daughter: Quevene E. Alldredge ARBUCKLE, b. 1909, d. 1967.
