Mrs. Herman Boyens
Mrs. Herman (Dorothy L.) Boyens, 68, Lyons, Kansas, formerly of Le Mars, died unexpectedly at her home April 24, 1974, after a short illness.
She had resided in Le Mars before moving to Ellsworth 24 years ago and to Lyons four years ago.
The former Dorothy Crawford, she was born June 8, 1905, at Jefferson. She married Herman H. Boyens June 28, 1948 at Luvern, Minn.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian church.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Bob Ivy of Pomona, Calif., four stepdaughters, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Edwards of Branch, Ark., Mrs. Freda Reeves of Alliance, Ohio, Mrs. Millare (Elaine) Samson of Lyons and Mrs. William (Mabel) Kennedy of Elysian, Minn.
Also two brothers, Cecil Crawford of Seattle and Edward Crawford of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Tony Dommick of Antioch, Calif., 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Rev. Don Moor, conducted funeral services April 27, at 10:30 a.m. in the Crasford-Miller mortuary. Burial was in the Lyons Cemetery.
