Mrs. Opal Duncan, 46, Olney resident until she moved to Wichita Falls in July 1948, was one of three persons who died in a fire destroying a two-story Wichita Falls rooming house.

Funeral held at the First Baptist church officiated by former pastor, Rev. W.H. Townsend.

At the graveside, lodge ceremonial rites were conducted by the Rebekah Lodge.

Survived by husband; daughter - Emma Sue, 10 years; parents - Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Crawford; three brothers - C.B. Crawford; John H. Crawford; Cecil Crawford; four sisters - Mrs. Ethel Reeves; Mrs. Amy Rogers, Mrs. Mamie Reeves and Mrs. George Guthrie.
