Carolyn Ann Barnes of Harrisburg died May 5 of cancer. She was 63.

Barnes was born Sept. 22, 1940, in Ketchikan, Alaska, to Clarence and Alice Maddsen Crawford. Her husband, Marvin Barnes, died May 26, 1996.

She settled in Harrisburg in 1970 and was primarily a homemaker. She worked at Skyline Products in Harrisburg for two years.

She was a member of King's Grace Fellowship Church in Junction City. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafts, gardening, reading and her church. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends.

Survivors include her father of Seattle; three sons, Kyle of Bend, Bill of Junction City and Marvin Jr. of Eugene; a daughter, Chris Griffith of Junction City; two brothers, Dennis Crawford of Cottage Grove and Rodney Crawford of Seattle; and eight grandchildren.
