CECIL ODELL CRAWFORD entered peacefully into rest at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward on October 24, 2001. He was 75. A native of South Carolina born on July 7, 1926, Cecil was the former owner of Crawford Coffee Shop. He was a longtime resident of Hayward and had proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. Cecil was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 45 years, Anna Maria Crawford of Hayward; children, Lori &Michael Singer of San Lorenzo and Jerry Crawford of Hayward; brothers, Bo Crawford of Oakland, Jerry Crawford of Mesa, Az; Charles Crawford and Bobby Crawford, both of Greenville, SC; sisters, Gayle Lawfon of Nashville, TN and Pat Hill of El Sobrante; grandchildren, Mary Singer and Jack Singer, both of San Lorenzo; his "girls" Molly, Maggie and Mimi; his loyal golden retriever,"Goldie" and many cherished extended family and friends. Visitation for Cecil will be 2 to 5 PM on Sunday at Grissom's San Lorenzo Chapel/Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. Funeral Services begin 10 AM on Monday at the mortuary. Cecil will be laid to rest with military honors at Lone Tree Cemetery. Grissom's Chapel &Mortuary (510)278-2800
