Jean Craver, 80, of Centerville died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995, at Iowa Methodist Hospital.
She was born at Centerville, the daughter of James and Delia (Hill) Shanks. She married Harlan Craver on Jan. 29, 1935, at the First Methodist Church in Centerville.
She is survived by one son, James, and his wife, Ginger, of Centerville; a sister, Virginia Howe of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three grandsons; a nephew; a niece; and a cousin.
Her husband and his brothers Ralph and Leo Craver owned and operated Craver Lumber Co.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the PEO Chapter D, TTT Chapter A.S., the MXL Club and Woman's Circle United Methodist Women.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Gubser officiating. Friends may call all day today, Tuesday, with visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Centerville.
A memorial has been established to St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital or the Centerville Community Schools Foundation (High School Auditorium Fund) and may be left at the Lange Funeral Home.
