My 2nd cousin once removed. The following obit is courtesy Clifford Harold Petersen.

Reed Clement Crapo, 62, died of a massive stroke October 11, 1991 in Sandy, Utah.

Reed was born May 17, 1929 in Murray, Utah to James Clement and Alice Barton Crapo. Married Marilyn Elaine Cannon July 15, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served an LDS Mission to California. Graduated from Jordan High and the University of Utah as a Metallurgical Engineer. Worked at E. I. duPont Savannah River Plant, then for Unisys. Retired after 30 years in 1986. Was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Young Mens President, Bishops counselor, Bishop, high councilor, counselor in Stake presidency, Patriarch, High Priest Group leader, and as a temple worker at the Jordan River LDS Temple.

He is survived by his wife; sons and daughters, Steven C. and Sue, Lancaster, Calif.; Diane and Brad Izatt, Auburn Wyo.; Rolf B. and Ruth, Salt Lake City; Lee R. and Connie, Everett, Wash.; April K and Dan Olds, Las Vegas, Nev.; Mark J. and Tiffany, Paul I. and Shirley, and Elizabeth Crapo, all of Sandy; Joseph G. Crapo, Missionary in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission; 24 grandchildren; two brothers, James B. and Richard I. Crapo; two sisters, Mrs. Mary (Elry) Lundskog and Mrs. Charlene (Ray) Gilbert.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Monday, October 14, 1991, at the Willow Canyon 1st Ward, 1700 East 9636 South. Reed requested no viewing but friends may meet the family Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church 10-11:30 prior to services at the church. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery. Funeral directors, MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary.
