Services for Annis R. "Ann" Brannen, 76, Moline, formerly of Beloit, Wis., are 10 a.m. Monday at First United Presbyterian Church, Moline. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island.
Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or to Bethany Home.
Mrs. Brannen died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Annis R. was born Feb. 27, 1923, in Beloit, the daughter of James Rand and Flora E. Wehrwein Cranston. She married Legrand H. Brannen Jan. 22, 1946, in Beloit. They moved to Moline in 1954.
She was employed as a secretary for the city of Moline for 21 years, retiring in 1983, after staying home while her two sons were young.
She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church and a member of the Naomi-Rebekkah circle of the church, the Silver Lining Circle of King's Daughters, 20th Century Club and Golfmohr Ladies Group.
Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who loved reading and spending time in her lovely garden.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Lee; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Chris Brannen, San Diego, Calif., and Richard and Jan Brannen, Moline; grandchildren, Jim Jr. and Melissa Brannen, San Diego, and Kelli and Kimberly Brannen, Moline; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Bernice Hayes, East Lansing, Mich., Norma and Bill Schuele, Milwaukee, Wis., and Helen and Phil Simonds, Beloit, Wis.
