Geraldean, better known to everyone as Jerrie and/or Geral Cranford was born September 3, 1942 in Garrison (Nacogdoches County), Texas to John William (Snap) Cranford and Delma Olene Holmes Cranford. After graduating from Garrison High School in May 1960, Jerrie attended and graduated from Nacogdoches Business College and later Durham's Business College in Austin, Texas. She married Thomas Stephen (Steve) Collins on November 24, 1960 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Jerrie was a wife, mother, grandmother and community volunteer for most of her married life. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in DeSoto, Texas.
Jerrie is survived by Steve, her husband of 53 years, daughters: Sue Price and her husband, Jeff of DeSoto, Judy Tinsley and her husband, Mike of Red Oak, TX, grandchildren: Lauren Tinsley, Jordan Price, and Meagan Price. She is survived by two brothers: Buddy Cranford and his wife, Bobbie Jo of Garrison, TX, and Joey Cranford and his wife, Sherry of Garrison, TX, two nieces and two nephews. She is also survived by her sister in law: Mary Summers of Nacogdoches and her two sons. She is preceded in death by both her father and her mother.

Visitation: Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 3 P. M. to 5 P. M. at the Church Life Center of First United Methodist Church, 310 Roaring Springs, DeSoto, TX 75115.
Funeral: Monday, April 7, 2014 at 1 P. M. at First United Methodist Church, 310 Roaring Springs, DeSoto, Texas 75115
Interment: Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 1 P. M. in Cold Springs Cemetery on Hwy. 95 near Garrison, Texas.
