A.B. Bill Crane, Jr., passed away on May 4, 2010, surrounded by his family. He was born in Port Neches, Texas, on March 24, 1929.

Bill was a long-time resident of Nederland, Texas, and was salutatorian of his high school graduating class in 1947. He also graduated from Lamar Junior College in Beaumont.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margie Theis Crane. Also mourning his passing are his daughters, Ann Crane of Missouri City, TX, and Paula Badora and her husband John, of Sugar Land, TX. Bill adored his grandchildren who gave him so much joy; his grandson, Mark Badora and wife Brittany of Tomball, TX, and his granddaughter, Kristen Badora of Sugar Land, TX. He is also survived by his only brother, Jerry and his wife Jean of Danville, CA. His many nieces and nephews also mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his father, Dutch Crane and his mother, Ruth Crane of Nederland, TX.

Bill served his country in the Air Force as a radar technician, receiving commendations. He was employed as a sales engineer for Motion Industries in Beaumont and retired after 37 years.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 7, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 8, 2010, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 605 Dulles Ave., Stafford, TX, with Fr. Stephen Whaley, officiating. The family is hosting a reception after the service in the Parish Hall of the church. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Houston National Cemetery, 14010 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church.
