GEORGE CRANE, 67, DIED AFTER LONG ILLNESS
George H. Crane, 67, died at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis early Sunday morning after an illness of two years. He had been in Indianapolis since the 17th of September.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Jones and Mrs. Virgil Emmert of this city and Mrs. Wendell Baxter of R. R. 6; two sons, John Crane of Gosport, R. R. 3, and William J. Crane of this county; three brothers, Asbury Crane of Belmont, Joseph Wesley Crane of Temple City, Calif., and Thomas Crane of Belmont; and nine grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death 20 years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at the Day Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. W. C. Chafin. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the home at 1402 West Fifth Street until funeral time.
Pallbearers will be John Jackson, Wilbur Thompson, Elmer Crane, Bert Engledow, Glenn Cirgin and Sylvester Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Eckels, Q. Austin East, E. S. Poole, William Rush, Charles Ramsey and James Brock.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge.
