LITTLE RIVER – Jessie L. Crandall, 71, died Wednesday at Rice County District No. 1 Hospital, Lyons. Born Jessie Riley Feb. 26, 1907 at Geneseo, she married Paul R. Crandall May 11, 1926 at Great Bend. He died Jan. 21, 1969. She was a lifetime area resident.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, Lyons; American Legion Auxiliary, Little River.
Survivors: sons: Max, Norman, both of Little River; Clair, Wichita; daughter: Mrs. Barbara Brooks, Elkhorn, Neb.; brother: Carl Riley, Emporia; sisters: Mrs. Esther White, Little River; Mrs. Beulah Dussair, Mrs. Paulyne Kamen, both of Wichita; Mrs. Dorothy Lee, Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at the church; Henry Skinner. Burial in Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River. The casket will be closed. Family suggests memorials to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River, or Maude Carpenter Children's Home, Wichita.
