Wilbur Cooter Crandall
Wilbur Cooter Crandall, 49, died July 24, 1983 at Rice County District Hospital, Lyons. Born February 13, 1934, at Little River, he married Theta Severe on July 6, 1973 at Denver. He was an employee of Sterling Drilling Co., and had been a longtime Sterling resident.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of United Methodist Church, Little River, and the VFW, Medicine Lodge.
Survivors include his widow, of the home; two stepdaughters, Tammy Faucett and Pamela Savage, both of Sterling; three brothers, Jim of Madison, Gerald of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and Larry, Sun Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Theda Crispin, Aztec, N.M., and Mary Francis Otto, Lyons; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Marjorie Swingle officiating. Burial was in Bean Memorial Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Rice County Emergency Medical Technicians.
