Alta K. Cragun passed away early in the morning of January 13, 1993 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center from cancer.
She was born August 28, 1932 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the seventh of nine children of Thomas Oakley and Mable Bronson Kearns.
They moved to Utah in 1936 where they raised their family.
In 1949 she met Henry Dorlynn Cragun and they were married on April 7, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She is survived by her husband of Orem; two daughters: Lorraine Cragun of Orem and Lydia Cragun Maughan of Flagstaff, Arizona; five grandchildren: Anali, Tarl, and Sabrina Maughan of Flagstaff, Arizona; and Rachel Ann and Meredith Lee Cragun both of Elyria, Ohio; her mother, Mable Kearns, Payson, three sisters and two brothers: Harriett Hallett, Santaquin; Mrs. Vern (Clara) Goudy, Centerville; John Allen Kearns, Dolan Springs, Arizona; Phyllis Johnson, Payson; and Archie Myron Kearns, San Marcos, California.
She was preceded in death by her only son, Laurence Darwin Cragun; her father, Thomas Oakley Kearns; and three brothers: william Burley, Laurence Oakley, and Thomal Milo Kearns.
Burial was January 16, 1993.
