Dolph Crafton, 85, Shelbyville, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994, at his residence.

Born March 10 1909 in Norristown, Ind., he was the son of Sherman and Lillian (Van Gorden) Crafton. He married Dorothy Sandefur Nov. 5, 1932, and she survives.

He was a farmer and had resided at Shelbyville an unspecified time. He retired from farming in 1970. He worked for the Shelby County Highway Department from 1971-1979.

In addition to his widow he is survived by a son, Gerald R. Crafton, Shelbyville; a daughter, Mrs. Lee (Mary Kay) Stillabower, Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Margaret) Shepple, Lake Wales, Fla., and Mrs. Richard (Maxine) Thurston, Fairland, Ind.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He ws preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and three sisters.

The funeral will be at the Murphy Funeral Service, Shelbyville, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. James H. Farnsley officiating.

Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Shelby County.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
