Adolphus Morris Craft was born Sept. 15, 1918 in Clifton, Alleghany County, Va. to Edgar Fulton Craft and Lovie Roy Craft.
On Sept. 16, 1940, he enlisted as a Corporal in the U.S. Army in the National Guard. From Sept. 24, 1942 to Nov. 12, 1945, he served in the Navy.
He married Irene Clarkson Craft and resided in Lexington, Va.
In Sept., 1973, at the age of 55, he died at his home on a Monday morning. He was a school teacher in Natural Bridge. He was also a veteran of World War II.
Surviving was his wife, Irene Clarkson Craft, Lexington; one son Michael Craft, Lexington; one brother, Raymond Craft, Clifton Forge; and four sisters: Mrs. T. W. Whiteside Jr., Clifton Forge; Mrs. Raymond Long, Covington; Mrs. E. K. Fuller, Columbus, Ohio; and Mrs. James Brown, Winter Haven, Fla.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Harrison's Funeral Chapel by Rev. Terry Clark.
