Daisy P. Almond, 79, of Ozark died Monday, April 22, 2002, in Mulberry. She was born Dec. 20, 1922, in Oklahoma, to Felix Cox and Nan Powers. She was a cook for A&H, Ozark Restaurant and Hillbilly Restaurant and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Almond. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil officiated by the Rev. James Jones. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Kelly of Kibler; three sons, Earl Almond of Ozark, J.D. Almond of Fort Smith and Jerry Almond of Mulberry; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be David and Stevie Almond, Jimmy and David Blackwell, Jimmy Kelly, Danny McDonald, Doug Pledger, Rusty Hill and Steve Birmingham.
