Mrs. Robert Baxendale, 53, of Strang died at 10:30 in the Hebron hospital Wednesday night from burns sustained when a kerosene can exploded in her husband's hands as he was pouring oil on a fire Tuesday evening.
Mr. Baxendale was also severely burned, and it is feared that doctors may have to amputate one of his legs.
Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Baxendale from the home on Friday afternoon and burial will be made in the Harmony cemetery.
Besides Mr. Baxendale, the deceased is survived by two sons and one daughter.

The body of Mrs. Robert Baxendale, who died at the Hebron hospital last Wednesday from burns sustained when a kerosene can exploded in the hands of her husband at their home in Strang on Tuesday evening, was buried in the Harmony cemetery Friday afternoon following funeral services at the home.
Mrs. Baxendale's maiden name was Jessie Florence Cox. She was the eldest daughter of Charles Wesley and Julia Cox and was born on July 3, 1880, in Fillmore county, near Strang. She died at the age of 52 years, 3 months and 2 days.
In 1899, she married Robert H. Baxendale. To this union was born three children, Mrs. Robert D. Cooper of Sapulpa, Ok., and Claude and Lawrence of Strang.
Others who survive her death are two sisters and two brothers and other relatives.
