E. Leona Box, 85, of Sheffield, died Monday, June 30, 2003.Visitation will be Saturday, July 5, 2003, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Sheffield, with the funeral service immediately following. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield. Dr. George Cobb and the Rev. Bill Bedsole will officiate.Mrs. Box was born in Franklin County but lived most of her life in Sheffield. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sheffield, a member of Eastern Star and Friends of the Sheffield Library. Mrs. Box was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Box. Survivors include her sons, James R. "Jimmy" Box and wife, Christine Box, of Sheffield, William R. "Sparky" Box and wife, Sandra, of McKinney, Texas; four grandchildren, Lisa Box Barnett and husband, Sam, of Decatur, Ala., Katie Box Bendall and husband, Clay, of Tuscumbia, Stuart Box and wife, Audra, of McKinney, Texas, and Shana Box Janner and husband, Billy, also of McKinney, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Elisabeth Russell Bendall and Hayden Raye Janner. Pallbearers are Robert Terry, Gerald Myrick, James Patton, Huston Patton, Jim Wesson, Braxton Ashe, Ian Sanford and James Marks.
