From DESERET NEWS (SALT LAKE CITY, UT) - 6 MAY 2001:
Obituary: Emma Nell Priest Cox
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all, reunited with her childhood sweetheart, Adrian, Friday May 4, 2001. She passed away peacefully in the LDS Hospital after a sudden stroke. Her caring and generous heart and service will be dearly missed by all who had the blessed opportunity of knowing her. Those who were fortunate to have her cross their path were lifted in mind and spirit.

Nell was born February 11, 1921 in Taylor, ID to Joseph and Rozella Priest. On January 20, 1939, she gave Adrian a wonderful birthday present by becoming his bride. These childhood sweethearts were later sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple May 21, 1959.

Nell was an active member in her ward in Salt Lake City and served faithfully in many Church callings throughout her life. She loved working with the young people which included serving as a Seminary teacher, serving in the Young Women's program, and working side by side with Adrian in the Cub Scout Program. She has also served in the Relief Society presidency and other teaching capacities. She was a pillar of strength and support while serving many years as a Bishop's wife. One of her most treasured church callings was arising at 3 a.m., accompanied by her husband, and serving as ordinance workers in the Salt Lake Temple for many years.

Nell was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, and one sister. She is survived by two sisters, June Ladd, Stella Evans; four sons, Tony, Gary, David, Jeff; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, May 7, 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake LDS 17th Ward chapel, 225 W. 500 N, and a graveside service will be held in the Taylor, Idaho Cemetery Tuesday, May 8, 11 a.m.
