Memorial services for Alpha Mable Cox, 90, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary in Riverside. She died of a stroke Friday at Riverside Community Hospital. Inurnment will be private. Mrs. Cox, who was born in Sandspit, British Columbia, Canada, lived in Riverside 80 years. She was a registered nurse in the maternity ward at Riverside Community Hospital for 43 years before she retired in 1985. She graduated from Poly High School in Riverside in 1928 and received a registered nursing certificate from Long Beach Memorial Hospital in 1932. Mrs. Cox is survived by five sons, Allen and John, both of Riverside, David of Albuquerque, N. M., Steven of Walnut and Donald of Lake Arrowhead; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Riverside Humane Society.
