Daspeni "Dassi" Elizabeth Cox, 76, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 15, 2000. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 18 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Fredonia Cemetery. Bro. Dale Collins officiated.
Mrs. Cox was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Logan County, WV, the daughter of Steve and Alta Woody Subotich.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Ballard of Crossville, Melba Sue Meadows of Dixon, TN, Sharon Bogard of Sparta, TN, and Juanita "Ida Lou" Stults of Nashville, TN; sons, Nicholas Cox of Crab Orchard, WV, and Raymond Reese Cox Jr. of Ashland City, TN; sister-in-law, Rose Helton of Crossville; 35 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
