Mrs. Cox was born to Lee Lester and Beulah (Karnes) Powell on January 24, 1937 in Welch, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God Faith. She attended Highway Tabernacle in Quapaw.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 child Sharon Scott.

Trendle Barr and husband Randy of Baxter Springs, Kansas
Linda Factor and husband Pewee of Sapulpa, Oklahoma
1 brother James (Jim) Ronnie Powell and wife Glenda of Chetopa, Kansas
2 sisters Vonda Shoate of Pittsburg, Kansas
Wanda England of Treece, Kansas
15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
She was loved and will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00am Thursday April 28, 2011 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, Oklahoma. Brother Ray Clonts will officiate. Burial will be at William-Timberhill Cemetery east of Welch, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-7pm. Services are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, Oklahoma.
