HUNTSVILLE — A Memorial Service for Virginia (Jenny) Johnson Cox will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Carlisle Cemetery on Carlisle Cemetery Rd. and FM 356, Carlisle, TX 75862. Pastor Jim McKenzie will be officiating. Jenny was promoted from this earth on March 21, 2014 at the age of 59 years. She was born on December 8, 1954 in Trinity, Texas to Odell and Cassie Johnson. Jenny worked for Roberts Soil Service and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for many years. Jenny was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Survivors include her husband Hal Thompson of Willis, TX, son Brian Cody Cox and wife Erin of Katy, TX, daughter Kelli Vanessa Cox Kisner and husband Troy of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; grandchildren Savannah & Loreili Cessna and Kennedi Faith & Kade Edward Kisner; brother's Sam L. Johnson & wife Edith of North Zulch, TX; Louie L. Johnson & wife Carolyn of Mt. Enterprise, TX; Roger G. Johnson & wife Brenda of Mt. Enterprise, TX; Lloyd R. Johnson & wife Jean of Mt. Enterprise, TX; sister's Oneita Johnson Anders & husband Lloyd of Thorndale, TX; Ruby Dell Johnson Emory of Houston, TX; special friends Linda McKenzie and Dotti Woods; mother-in-law Hazel Thompson of Brenham and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
