John and Lorena Eiland Cox moved to Fisher County in 1953 moving from Scurry County. Upon moving to Fisher County they lived on the Montgomery place in the Rough Creek Community. Later they purchase property five miles west of Rotan. They were members of the First Baptist Church in Rotan where grandma was a Sunday School teacher for more than 30 years.
They had 3 daughters, one son, eight grand children 11 great grand children
