HEMINGWAY - Mrs. Lottie Cox Carter, 72, died Monday in a Florence Hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30pm Tuesday in Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. N. B. Sellers, the Rev.C. R. Jones, The Rev. Robert Stuart and the Rev. Ferrell Cox. Burial will be in the Eaddy-Ford Cemetery, directed by Morris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Cox, Lorie Cox, Jimmie Cox, Lonnie Wayne Cox,Wilson Hardee, Barry Myers, Bill Eaddy and Junior Lewis.
Born in Hemingway, she was the daughter of the late James Walton and Amanda Josephine Huggins Cox. She was a member of the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holliness Church.
Surviving are two sons, James F. Carter and Ernest V. Cox both of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Mrs. Lottie Joe Dennis of Hemingway; five brothers, W. Cullen Cox, Wilburn S. Cox, Theo W. Cox and Bertie A. Cox all of Hemingway; and A. A. Cox of Pensacola, Fla; Two sisters, Mrs. Rufus Eaddy and Mrs. Lillian Myers both of Hemingway. Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
