Charles W. Cox was born in Eskridge, Kans, in 1894 and died in Englewood, Colorado on Dec. 5, 1987. He was a 35 year resident of Englewood before that and lived at 5205 So. University in Arapahoe County.
He worked for the Littleton School District as custodian before his retirement. He and his wife, Clara, were avid rock hounds and were charter members of the Littleton Gem and Mineral Soceity. His wife died in 1981.
Surviving him is his son, Charles Cox, Jr. of Oceanside, Calif.; daughters Dorothy Wood of Estes Park and Betty Foster of Englewood. He was a member of American Association of Retired Persons, a 60-year member of South Gate Lodge 138 AF&AM Denver and was a regular at the Malley Center in Englewood. The Rev. Tom Kleen conducted services at Olinger Mortuaty and the lodge conducted a Masonic Commital Service at Fort Logan Cemetery.
