ODESSA — Sue Beth Booth,
a former Snyder resident, died
Thursday, Nov. 19, in Odessa.
Funeral service for Mrs.
Booth, 72, is set for 10 a.m.
Monday in the Immanuel Baptist
Church with the Rev. Blake
O'Dell, pastor, officiating. Burial
will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the
Tahoka Cemetery under the direction
of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Born Dec. 6, 1936 in Tahoka, she
graduated from New Home High
School in 1954. She lived in New Home,
Snyder, Abilene, Wink and Odessa
and was a member of Immanuel
Baptist Church. She operated a
restaurant in Wink and worked
in banking in Wink and Odessa for many
years.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, Troy Cowan Jr. and
Florence Inman Davies; three
brothers, Dwain Cowan, Don
Cowan and Dan Cowan; a sister,
Billie Jo Freeman; and a greatgrandson,
Paul Meredith.
She married Elton Booth on
March 15, 1995 in Odessa.
Survivors include her husband,
Elton Booth of Odessa;
two daughters and a son-in-law,
Elizabeth Meredith and Susan
and Klaus Szabo, all of Midland;
a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher
and Arlene Oliver of Snyder;
a step-daughter, Pam Williams
of Mathis; eight sisters,
Ann Walton of Snyder, T. Ann
Jackson of Sallisaw, Okla., Rosa
Peterson of Joplin, Mo., Jessie
Springer and Barbara Harris,
both of Pocola, Okla., Linnie
Binyon of Charleston, Ark.,
Marjorie Harrald of Siloam
Springs, Ark., and Dee Baker of
Pocola, Okla.; two brothers, Carl
Cowan of Pocola, Okla. and
Bob Cowan of Claremore, Okla.;
six grandchildren, Dawson
Haley, Zane Neely, Wesley
Neely, Beth Oliver, Kelly Szabo
and Brenna Williams; and 6
great-grandchildren.
