Born October 11, 1917 in Salt Lake City, a son of Alexander Jr. and Mary E. Gray Cowan.
Married Lucile McDougall on November 16, 1946 in Salt Lake City; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lucile preceded him in death on March 3, 1978.
Member LDS Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and his horse. Veteran World War II.
Survived by sister, Vila Jacobsen; step-sisters, Dorothy Lunn and Mattie Richmond; nephew, John Carey; many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), where friends may call pn Thursday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
