GREENSBORO, NC Mr. Herbert Harley Covey, 80, passed away at Beacon Place on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 with his family by his side.

A memorial service was held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2 pm, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Dallas George officiating.

Mr. Covey was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Sadie Covey.

He was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War and worked at Burlington Mills for 58 years.

He is survived by his wife of 58 wonderful and blessed years, Dorothy Covey; son, Phillip Covey (Jan) of Tallahassee, FL; son, Michael Covey (Khris) of Wilmington; daughter, Dianne Covey of Greensboro; grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Jennifer, Adam, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Nathaniel; sister, Maryanne Dean of IL; sister, Emma Suber of VA; and brother, Harry T. Covey (Shirley) of VA.
