Son of Edward Samuel Couzens & Gertrude Alice Brown; Husband of Arlene Marian Bassett, married in 1938; Husband of Ollivene Maye Richard, married in 1967;
Charles G. Couzens, 83, died Monday, June 9, 1997, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in North Little Rock, Ark.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he had been a winter visitor to Lake Como and Crescent City for 15 years coming there from Indiana and Canada. He had worked as a plant engineer for the Fuller O'Brien Corporation of South Bend, Ind, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Lake Como United Methodist Church and a member of South Bend Lodge #294 F&AM.
Survivors include his son, Don Couzens of North Little Rock, Ark.; step-son, Clive Smith of Toronto, Canada; step-daughters, Shaun Piper of Toronto, Canada, Shirley Collins of Punta Gorda, Catherine Powers of Ajax, Ontario, Canada.
Funeral services will be Thursday 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert L. White officiating. Burial will follow the services in Lake Como-Pomona Park Cemetery in Lake Como.
