KENTON - Mrs. Hayes (Jessie) Coutu, 73, died at her residence in Hepburn Monday at 4:15 p.m. after a long illness.
Mrs. Coutu was born in Hardin County Aug. 2, 1887, daughter of John and Laura Outland McClaren. She spent her life in Hardin County and was a lifetime member of Hepburn Methodist church.
In Hardin County on May 21, 1914 she was married to Hayes Coutu who survives with one son, Freeman of Hepburn; one step-son, Charles Johnson of Omaha, Nebr.; three brothers, William and Dewey McClaren of Hepburn and Robert McClaren of Norton, O. One sister preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Kenton with Rev. Irvin Oates officiating. Burial will be in Lee cemetery in Dudley township.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
