Carl L. Coulter, 60, of Westville, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital. He was born May 25, 1943 in LaPorte, IN, to Glenn and Bessie (Bessler) Coulter.
On April 8, 1967 at Faith Memorial Lutheran Church in Valparaiso, he married Patricia Tucker who survives. Also surviving are his son, Kevin (Sandy) Coulter of Westville and his daughter Kylene Coulter of Michigan, his three grandsons, Ozzie, Quinten and Cooper Coulter and his brother, John (Jean) Coulter of Westville. Several nephews and their families also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David.
Carl was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Westville and Teamster's Union Local #364. He was a truck driver for Alpha Baking and Kreamo Bakers in LaPorte. He was formerly employed by Landgrebe Motor Transport in Valparaiso for several years. Carl was in the National Guard and had a love for antique cars and enjoyed farming for many years. Funeral services for Carl will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 15, 2004 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Westville, Pastor David Graef will officiate. Burial will be in the Westville Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 4 to 8 P.M. at the Newhard Funeral Home in Westville, and on Monday, at the church, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
