Paul Cotner

Paul Cotner, 83, of Grove died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, in the Betty Ann Nursing Center.

The son of Harrison and Myrtle E. Rothwell Cotner, he was born on January 25, 1916 in Booneville, Ark.

Paul married Mildred Alice Cotner and she preceded him in death in 1984.

He was a mechanic and instructor in the Civilian Conservation Corp. from 1937 to 1940.

Paul worked as a mechanic and dispatcher for United Parcel and Pacific Freight and as a ship fitter in the U.S. Naval Ship Yard in Portland, Ore., during World War II.

He later worked as a tool and die maker for North American Rockwell on the Apollo 13, F-100 and B-70 projects.

Survivors include two brothers, Monroe Cotner of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and N.A. Cotner M.D. of Grove.

A private family service is planned.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Grove General Hospital Foundation, in care of Debbie Gallier, 1310 S. Main, Grove.

The service is under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
