Services were conducted Friday, March 18, 1977 at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel for Minnie Best, 73, who died Sunday, March 13, in her home in Hastings, Nebraska. The Rev. Pete Soens and the Rev. James F. McCrary conducted the services.
Mrs. Best was the daughter of the late Will and Lillie Wall Cotner. She was born March 15, 1904 in Steele. She leaves her husband, William Best, of Hastings, Neb.; three sisters: Mrs. Emma Bell of Steele; Mrs. Bessie Howell and Mrs. Marie Gooch, both of Wyatt, Mo.; two brothers: Carl Cotner of Cobb, Ga., and William Cotner of Marston, Mo.
Burial was in Number Eight Cemetery with German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were William Barger, Doc Barger, R.L. Fisher, Wayne Cooper, Paul Cooper, Jr., and Robert Holly.
