Alicia S. Cota, of Benson, died May 11, 2000 in Benson, at the age of 89. She was born in the San Pedro Valley, Arizona Territory, on May 30, 1910.
Alicia was a homemaker who had been a lifelong resident of Benson. She belonged to the Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Alicia was preceded in death by her husband, Jose C. Cota in 1980.
Alicia is survived by her two sons, Joey and Vicente Cota, both of Benson; daughters, Jennie Garcia of Prescott and Sylvia Maldonado of Benson; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Rosary was held on May 15, 2000, at Richardson's Mortuary Chapel in Benson. Funeral services were held on May 16, 2000 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Ray Ratzenberger officiating.
Burial followed at Cochise Gardens of Rest in Benson. Pallbearers included Alicia Dalmolin, Monica Cota, Hector Garcia, Vicente Cota, Edward Ellsworth and Everett Dillon. Services were under the direction of Richardson's Mortuary in Benson.
