Mrs. Bertha Boyer, 68, highly an esteemed lifelong resident of Lafayette and vicinity, died at 11:30 Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy E. Wien, 705 North street, where she made her home. She was the widow of Edward G. Boyer whom she married in 1917. He died last year. As Bertha Cosby she first married Albert Erickson of Tippecanoe county, who died in 1910. To this union were born three children: Mrs. Wien, and two sons, Harry Erickson of this city and Frank Erickson of Hoquiem, Wash. There is also a stepdaughter, Mrs. E. E. Driscol of this city. Mrs. Boyer was a member of the Christian church. Services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the Murphy funeral home. Friends may call there Sunday. Burial in Yorktown Cemetery in Lauramie Township.
