Dorothy Jean Cook, 67, of LaGrange died Monday, November 6, 2006, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Cook was born December 17, 1938, in LaGrange, daughter of Dana Brooks Cosby of LaGrange and the late Morris F. Cosby. She had lived in LaGrange most of her life and was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square. Mrs. Cook was employed as an administrative assistant with Wyatt, Wyatt, Solomon, and Gordy for many years before retiring.

Survivors in addition to her mother, include three children and their spouses, Robby and Allyson Cook of LaGrange, Marie and Bill Mervin of Smiths Station, Ala., and Alan and April Cook of LaGrange; 11 grandchildren, Sarah Cook, Jill Cook, Sydney Cook, Dori Cook, Amber White, Andrew White, Chris Mervin, Lauren Mervin, Ariel Cook, Kaylynn Cook, and McClain Cook; one sister, Faye Ford of LaGrange; two nieces, Susan Buck and Lynn Key.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 8, 2006, in the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel of First Baptist Church on the Square with Dr. Paul Baxter and Reverend Paul Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
