Mrs. Emma Cosby widow of James R. Cosby, died at her home in Crawfordsville, Saturday, after an illness of less that two weeks. She suffered a stroke of paralysis New Years Day. The daughter of Nicholas and Jennie Bredburg, pioneer settlers of Indiana, she was born near Stockwell, January 25, 1862. In April 1881, she married James R. Cosby. They were residents of Tippecanoe county many years, later moving to Crawfordsville. The husband died 19 years ago. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Birdie Holmes, Lawrence Cosby of Crawfordsville, and Earl of near Mace. Six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ollie Shumaker of West Lafayette.
