Mrs. Annie Laurie Corry Atkins died Sunday, November 9, 2003 at the Saint George Health Care Center, Saint George, SC. She was 84 years old.

Annie Laurie Corry was born September 16, 1919 in Yoakum, TX. She was a daughter of the late Clay Richard Corry and Annie Laurie Woolsey Corry. She married John Norton Atkins, Jr. on October 14, 1941 in Houston, TX. He predeceased her.

Mrs. Atkins was an Episcopalian. She was also a retired Head of Medical records in Anaheim Memorial Hospital in Anaheim, CA.

Survivors include a son, John Norton Atkins, III of Santa Anna, CA; a daughter, Mary Ann Atkins Anderson of Walterboro, SC; three grandchildren: Jason C. Anderson, and his wife Alisa, of Kings Mountain, NC; John D. Anderson, and his wife Nancy, of Union Grove, NC; and Julie E. Anderson of Walterboro, SC; and five great grandchildren: James, Joshua, Jacob, and Erica Anderson, and Hilton Hoover.

A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Walterboro, SC. In keeping with her wishes, her ashes were scattered at sea.
