During his more than 50 years in the priesthood, he served parishes in Hurley, Minocqua, Somerset, Hammond, Land O'Lakes, Hammond, New Richmond, Turtle Lake and Cameron. In 1963 he was appointed vicar general of the diocese of Superior, a position he held until 1985. From 1961 to 1985 he was diocesan consultor to the bishop.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Bishop Raphael Fliss on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior. Burial was in the Priests Circle at Calvary Cemetery in Superior.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, John, George and Robert and two sisters, Grace and Eileen. Surviving are a brother, Charles Corrigan of McAllen, Texas; a sister, Dorothy Weiss of Seattle, Wash.; and many nephews and nieces, including, John Corrigan of Rochester, Minn."
