Barbara Alva Corral
6/28/1917 - 3/11/2012

Barbara Alva Corral, entered into rest on March 11, 2012 in the comfort of her Rocklin home built by her husband nearly 60 years ago. Born to Telesforo and Marcelina Zamorano Alva on June 28, 1917, in Penryn, Calif.

Also survived by sisters, Mercedes and Delores and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Frank, husband of 56 years, and sisters, Gala, Julia, Carnation and brother, Frank.
Being an active member of Club Espanol, Rocklin Historical Society and the Green Thumb Garden Club, she gave of herself fully in all that she was involved in. She spent many of her happiest times working in her garden and could virtually make anything grow. Having been fortunate enough to travel the world, she especially enjoyed spending time with relatives in Spain and Argentina. Barbara was extremely proud of her Spanish heritage and never hesitated to speak of her parents' immigration from Fuentesauco Spain in 1911. A highlight of her life was the dedication of the Corral-Alva Park in Rocklin. Motherhood and family are what she valued most. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her family will be forever grateful to her wonderful caregiver Titi, whose companionship and love was endless.
Services will be held at Lambert Funeral home, 400 Douglas Blvd. Roseville Calif. Visitation on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012.
