Lucy Eva (Corrado) Burlone, of Braintree, Massachusetts went back to God on Sept. 18, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Francis C. Burlone; Loving mother of Linda Calcagno Melchione of Easton and Francis C. Burlone of Scituate. Loving grandmother of Kimberly Calcagno and James D. Calcagno. Great-grandmother of Nathan and Liviya Calcagno. She was the loving and devoted daughter of John and Michelina (Riozzi) Corrado (born in Isernia, Italy) and was pre-deceased by all of her 8 siblings | John N. Corrado, Charles P. Corrado, Joseph A. Corrado (and his wife Mae), Albert A. Corrado (and his wife Sue), Margaret (Corrado) Arrigo (and her husband Pasquale), Elana (Corrado) Ross (and her husband John), Perry (Corrado) Dickson (and her husband) and Dolly (Corrado) Grennon (and her husband James). She also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews and her dear life-long friend Rose Abbott. Lucy was born and raised in Dorchester, MA and then moved to Braintree where she lived for over 50 years. She held many managerial and administrative positions for over 50 years until she retired to care for her blind husband. She was devoted to helping him in every way and became active in several groups and organizations for the blind. She was an extraordinary mother, a devoted and constant wife and a most loving sister to all of her siblings. At Lucys request, there will be no viewing or visitation. The Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Clares Church in Braintree, MA on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, followed by burial at St. Michaels Cemetery in Roslindale, MA. Relatives and friends invited.
