Gloria H. Besachio (Cornell), 88, of Johnston, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Besachio. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Marc and Helen (Houdek) Cornell.
Gloria was a Nursing Assistant at Roger Williams Hospital. She loved to read, sew and spend time with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Sam, Michael and Marc Besachio; three daughters, Pamela Besachio-Drainville, Kelly Anne Besachio and Anne Marie Rossi; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Her funeral was held Monday, October 29, 2012 from the Maceroni Funeral Home, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, Providence. Burial followed in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Lung Association, 260 West Exchange St., Providence, RI 02903.
