EUNICE - Funeral services for Mrs. Whitney Blanchard, the former Melba
Cormier, 61, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony Catholic Church here with burial in St. Paul Mausoleum.

The Rev. Austin Leger will conduct the services.

Mrs. Blanchard, a resident of Eunice, died at 5 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2001, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: her husband, Whitney Blanchard; five brothers, Hillman Cormier of Higginbotham, Herman Cormier and J.C. Cormier, both of Baton Rouge, Nathan Cormier of Iowa and Kelly Cormier of Opelousas; three sisters, Tula Bourgeois and Faye Comeaux, both of Baton Rouge, and Esther Prather of Opelousas; and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Blanchard was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Treville Cormier; three brothers, Huey Cormier, R.S. Cormier and Mervin Cormier; and a sister, Marie C. LeJeune.

Visiting hours will be observed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Ardoin's Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
